arcpy.mapping Change TextElement/GraphicElement colors

I have noticed in the arcpy.mapping module that TextElement/GraphicElement color is not an exposed property. It would be very helpful if it was!!!! Every year I have to chnage the color of these elements in over 160 .mxds. Using data driven pages for this is not feasable.

Is there a way to change the color of these object in an mxd in another fashion? This would help alot. ESRI, if you read this please consider exposing the property ASAP, it would save me many hours of work.
