Extract the same Polyline attribute from multiple DWG Files

Hi Listers,

From a collection of over 1,000 CAD DWG files I need to extract PolyLine features where each Layer field attribute is the same, in this case it's called AR_WALL_EXT. How would I go about extracting each DWG PolyLine feature to its own individual polygon feature class (or shape file)? As an extra requirement, each input DWG file name has to be preserved in the output feature class.

Has anyone out there got any pointers for me to start on? Any helpful tips would be most appreciated
