Detecting SDE Annotation Feature Classes

To All Python Developers:

I had a script that was updating SDE datasources and I thought it was working on all SDE data, but it is not updating annotation feature classes. Is there any way to detect an annotation feature class originating from SDE in python? If I cannot change this type of SDE datasource with the replaceDataSource method, I would at least like to flag it and get a count that I can save to a log file.
