Does time-enabling Mosaic Datasets work from Python?

Has anyone successfully enabled the time functionality on a mosaic dataset using the "use_time" argument for SetMosaicDatasetProperties_management? It seems that the resampling_type argument is taking hold, but no matter what combination of use_time, start_time_field, end_time_field, and time_format I use, I can't get the mosaic dataset to be time-aware.
